The Alice - As Good As The Show
"...top-rated..." - The Hollywood Reporter

When destinies collide under a total eclipse of the sun

Set in the spectacular Australian outback, The Alice is the tale of an enchanting date with destiny. Mystic forces are at work, drawing strangers from the North, South, East and West to Alice Springs to witness a total eclipse of the sun. Overcoming obstacles to arrive on time, an anxious nurse, a faded rock star, a strange German family, a wayward botanist and a bickering married couple are affected and connected by more than the eclipse. Ultimately, The Alice brings them all together and sorts them out "Alice-style."

Starring Erik Thomson (All Saints), Jessica Napier (McLeod's Daughters), Caitlin McDougall, Brett Stiller, Simon Burke

I left some information, immages, and video previews of Electra below.

Summary of Electra:

From "one of the world's most talented filmmakers" (Los Angeles Times) comes this riveting, Oscar(r)-nominated* retelling of Euripides' searing classic. Written, produced and directedby Michael Cacoyannis (Stella, Zorba the Greek), and starring legendary Greek beauty Irene Papas (The Trojan Women), Electra is "majestic and awesome" (The New York Times)"a truly powerful and visually impressive picture" (Boxoffice). Desolationand despair reign supreme in the kingdom of Mycenae: The great Agamemnon has been brutally murdered; his son, Orestes, has fled to an unknown land; and his daughter Electra has been imprisoned withinthe very walls of the castle she once loved so well. All hope seems lost until the sacred oracle speaks and replaces Electra's broken spirit with an unquenchable desire for justiceand bloody vengeance! *1962: Foreign Language Film
